OK so I was about 3 days away from buying myself an Xbox 360, when the marketing for the Wii finally sunk into my thick skull. Motion sensors as a game controller, that is a proper market redefining innovation.
It's something that makes the interface so much more tactile and intuitive than an 'old fashioned' game controller. I think Nintendo are going to clear up on this, something as simple as this resonates naturally with people. The US sales figures certainly attest to that. I guess it's next stop the orgasmatron.
My girlfriend - who is completely anti-gaming - even managed a show of interest when I bored her about it last night. Today, my mum asked me about it unprompted! She seemed quite excited. Maybe she's going to be a hardcore granny gamer
